12: Building GREAT Businesses For A GREATER Purpose | Retired Army Col. Greg King | C12 Virginia Blue Ridge

Be Inspired | Do Good:

Greg King’s first job was selling doughnuts in high school.  From there he entered the Army, became a pilot, worked at the pentagon, contributed to our nation’s safety and freedom, and retired as an Army Colonel in 2005.

But Greg wasn’t “finished.”  His entrepreneur spirit and inquisitiveness led him to work for a high-tech company that made sensors of all types…infrared, chemical, radiation, explosives and even biological agents.  Intriguing?  Absolutely!

Once his daughter graduated college, he and his wife decided it was time to get out of DC.  They searched the coast and the mountains, and the Roanoke Valley felt like home.  It was time to move and start another chapter.  Greg’s life seems to move from one adventure to another.

Nowadays, Greg’s biggest passion is as C12 Chair for Virginia’s Blue Ridge region.  Through this group, he is able to couple his faith with his business and leadership experience investing in regional business owners.  His mission is to encourage and support Christian business owners to lead their businesses based on timeless Biblical principles. Greg’s passion is to see others succeed in business and in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
